Not that I’m starting my resolution early I jus just all I did today. I knitted and finished reading the hunger games. Great book. Can’t wait to read the other two!
Church, gifts, reading, napping, knitting, cookie decorating: the recipe for my day. Quiet Christmas. Very mellow. Breathe in breathe out.
Good day overall.
An odd Christmas eve. Didn’t really feel like Christmas eve. Three things helped:
The first was the candy cane I just finished.
Second was the nativity story:
Here is my dad reading the nativity story while Ely listens closely:
Third was enjoying my siblings kids and their excitement for the holiday:
Here is a link to a video of my nieces playing “sleeping bunnies,” a game I taught them last year at Christmas. This is the scene I’m used to at Christmas: pjs, dancing, excited kids. This year I sang them the song via FaceTime while they danced.
Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
And just like that I’m drained again. It’s amazing how quickly that can happen to me now. I’m so thankful, however, for the friends who are there for me day in and out, even when there is enough on their plate already. I’m here for you too!
Sorry, I hate those cryptic posts as much as the next person, but sometimes the mask is too heavy for me to wear. I couldn’t pretend today but I’m not ready to openly share.
Today was the office Christmas party. Good food and a relaxing time. When I got home there was a pile of Christmas cards. Tis the season…for lazy writing! Ten days left and the resolution to blog everyday will be over. And I promise you, it will be over. No more cranking out poorly written posts at 11:00pm. I may write still, but only if I really have something to share. Or I’ll go back to status updates on Facebook- that’s basically what these blog posts are anyway.
I hope you all had fun and enjoyed the year of blogging. 10 more posts so let’s make the best of it!
